How is the data from TiRe collected

The data in TiRe is collected using a combination of automated data mining tools followed by manual curation for each gene and study found.

The criteria for gene inclusion are:

1. Evidence comes from an in vivo skin wound healing study
2. Direct intervention on the gene/protein of interest (knockout/knockdown, mutation, overexpression, protein administration, antibody treatment, antisense or siRNA silencing, agonist/antagonist administration) has been performed
3. The intervention had a clear effect of the skin wound healing phenotype
